Antifreeze is a liquid that is designed to cool the engine, otherwise damage to parts may occur. It is very important to check the level of antifreeze in a timely manner and replace it.

Step 1
Look in the expansion tank in which you check the level of antifreeze. It should be between the minimum and maximum cutoffs. If the liquid is below the required level, then add antifreeze to the required mark.

Remember that antifreeze must be of high quality, which is suitable for aluminum engines. Make sure to use the same brand of fluid, as the constant change can lead to corrosion and defects in the cooling system.
Step 3
If you see that the tank is completely empty and there is not a drop of antifreeze in it, then check its level in the radiator. To do this, unscrew the radiator cap. Remember to first let the pressure out of the system by unscrewing the cap counterclockwise. Be careful not to remove the cap when the antifreeze is hot, as the spray can severely burn you.
Step 4
After checking the coolant, you can replace the antifreeze if you are not satisfied with its quality. To do this, make sure the radiator and engine are cool. Remove the drain plug and drain the coolant.
Step 5
After that, put the hose on the special bolt, which is located at the back of the engine compartment. Pour the same antifreeze into the radiator, do it up to the beginning of the neck. Close the cap and start the engine, wait for it to warm up, and turn it off. Add coolant to keep the reservoir completely full.
Step 6
Turn on the air conditioner or climate control for maximum cooling. After that, turn off the engine and check the level of antifreeze in the radiator. Top up fluid if necessary. Do the same with the climate control at maximum temperature. Ensure that the liquid level is at a constant level.
