The situation when a VAZ car does not start in severe frosts is familiar to every car owner. Such a lottery "will start - will not start" order begins to get boring in the winter. However, with some practice, this daily hassle can be avoided.

Step 1
To keep the battery in good condition, bring it in a warm place overnight and remember to charge it on time. It plays a huge role in ensuring that there are no problems when starting the engine in cold weather. The battery in winter loses its capacity by almost a quarter, which means that the starting current also drops
Step 2
If, nevertheless, the battery remains in the car, and the car does not want to start in the morning, then first of all warm up the battery by turning on the high beam headlights for 10-20 seconds. Or bring it into the house and put it on recharge at low currents. Then put the prepared battery back in place. When starting the engine, first squeeze the clutch, and only then begin to "twist" the starter.
Step 3
After you warm up the engine, slowly release the clutch in order to warm up the gearbox. If you have an engine equipped with an injector, then in case of an unsuccessful start, try using the cylinder purge mode. If this maneuver fails, then your candles are most likely flooded. Remove the candles and ignite them.
Step 4
Spray an ester-based spray liquid into the carburetor (behind the air vent). This is one of the most effective methods for starting a carburetor engine. In an engine with an injector, this fluid must be injected into the corrugated hose, also behind the air vent.
Step 5
So that the frost does not take you by surprise, prepare the car for the winter period. To do this, put new candles, replace the antifreeze, fill the washer reservoir with antifreeze. Put winter tires on the wheels, put plastic wheel arches in the wheel arches, and pour some WD-40 liquid into the door locks.
