The nozzle is the most important element of the VAZ-2110 power system, through which fuel is supplied to the cylinder head (cylinder head). It is a solenoid valve that allows fuel to pass through when a voltage is applied to it from the controller and closes under the action of a return spring when it is de-energized. Therefore, they must be changed if there is an open or short circuit in the injector winding.

Necessary

  • - Phillips screwdriver;
  • - slotted screwdriver;
  • - spanner key for "17";
  • - spanner key for "22";
  • - pliers;
  • - head on "13";
  • - head on "10";
  • - scissors;
  • - knife;
  • - rags;
  • - hexagon to "5".

Instructions

Step 1

Park the vehicle on a firm, level surface. Relieve fuel pressure in the fuel supply system. To do this, in the passenger compartment, remove the right shield of the floor tunnel lining by unscrewing the self-tapping screw for the right shield of the floor tunnel lining with a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 2

Ignition OFF, remove the fuel pump fuse from the ECM fuse / relay box. Start the engine and let it idle until it runs out of fuel. Then turn on the starter for 2-3 seconds. The fuel system will then be depressurized.

Step 3

Disconnect the lead from the negative battery terminal. Remove the plastic engine cover.

Now you need to remove the air filter housing for easy operation. Disconnect the ECM wires from the MAF sensor. After loosening the fastening clamp, remove the air supply hose to the throttle assembly from the mass air flow sensor branch pipe. Remove the air intake sleeve from the nipple at the bottom of the air filter housing. Prying the caps of the filter housing supports with a slotted screwdriver in turn, remove them from the mounting holes. Remove the air filter housing.

Step 4

Disconnect the engine control wires from the injector harness connector and remove the injector harness connector from the bracket. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screw securing the pressure plate of the fuel delivery pipe to the rail.

Step 5

Using a "17" spanner wrench, unscrew the union of the fuel supply pipe to the fuel rail, holding the end of the rail tube with a spanner wrench to "22". Pull the fuel delivery pipe out of the ramp pipe tip and remove the rubber O-ring from the fuel delivery pipe.

Step 6

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp for the main crankcase ventilation circuit and remove the hose from the cylinder head cover fitting. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the crankcase ventilation hose clamp and remove the hose from the cylinder head cover nipple. Next, using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the self-tapping screw securing the guide tube of the oil level indicator to the inlet pipeline and lift up the tube with the oil level indicator.

Step 7

Take the pliers and with their help loosen the tightening of the band clamp securing the hose of the vacuum brake booster and remove the hose from the inlet pipe. Then take a slotted screwdriver and pry the spring retainer of the throttle cable with it and remove it from the throttle actuator sector. Pull the throttle cable out of the bracket on the intake manifold. Overcoming the force of the spring, turn the throttle valve actuator sector and remove the cable tip from the sector hole. Now pull the throttle cable out of the holders on the intake manifold.

Step 8

Using the "13" head, unscrew the two nuts securing the throttle assembly to the inlet pipeline and remove the throttle assembly from the pipeline studs without disconnecting the coolant supply and return hoses from the throttle assembly. Press the latch with your fingers and disconnect the wires from the ignition coils. Move the wires away from the cylinder head.

Step 9

Take the head on "10" and with its help unscrew the two nuts of the upper fastening of the intake manifold to the cylinder head cover. Using the "13" head, unscrew the two bolts and three nuts of the lower mounting of the intake manifold. Unbutton or cut with scissors (knife) the two clamps securing the wiring harness to the upper timing belt cover.

Step 10

Press the latch and disconnect the wires from the phase sensor. Then with the head on "10" unscrew the bolt of the ignition coil and remove it. Repeat the same operation for three more ignition coils. Close the holes for the ignition coils in the cylinder head cover with a rag. Slide the intake manifold forward, with the direction of the vehicle, and remove it.

Step 11

Unscrew the two screws securing the fuel rail to the cylinder head with a "5" hexagon. Pull the fuel rail along the axis of the injectors and pull all four injectors out of the openings on the cylinder head. Remove the fuel rail with injectors and wires.

Step 12

To disconnect the injector from the rail, press down on the spring clip and pull the wire connector out of the injector. Prying off with a slotted screwdriver, remove the bracket that secures the injector. Overcome the resistance of the O-ring and pull the injector out of the fuel rail. Use a slotted screwdriver to remove the injector O-rings. Pull out other defective injectors in the same way. Assemble and install the fuel rail with injectors in reverse order.
