In America, the car has long ceased to be a luxury. It doesn't matter if you come to permanently reside in the United States, or if you want to buy a car in America and go home, a few tips will help you find and buy a car according to your income and taste.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have acquaintances in the United States or work colleagues, tell them about your desire to buy a car - perhaps one of them is selling it.
Step 2
Use the local press to find a suitable option. The section for buying and selling is called Classifieds, and the column with cars is Autos for sale.
Step 3
Contact your local car dealer. Their offices are usually located along busy streets. They are called Auto Sales. Remember that they can be overpriced, so don't forget to bargain.
Step 4
After payment, issue a document with the seller called the Bill of Sale. It must indicate the seller and the buyer. Then contact any insurance company to get insurance. To do this, you will need to present a passport, international license, as well as documents for the car.
Step 5
Go to the local traffic police, where you can show your insurance and Bill of Sale. Pay vehicle tax, room rates, and provide your U. S. mailing address. Numbers and documents will be sent to this address.
Step 6
Before receiving the numbers, you will have to travel with temporary, but not more than 45 days. As a rule, temporary numbers are not attached to the front. A sticker is attached to the back of the numbers, which indicates until what time your tax is paid.
