One of the reasons for the malfunction of the lighting in the passenger compartment is the failure of the plafond. Interior lampshades may differ in design and location depending on the car brand, but the general principles of lamp replacement remain the same. Consider how to remove the plafond in the cabin using the example of a VAZ-2106 car.
Instructions
Step 1
Interior lighting in the VAZ-2106 car is installed on the body pillars in the middle of the car (above the upper fasteners of the seat belts).
Step 2
Grasp the top of the shade with your right hand and pull it towards you. If it is difficult to remove the cover, take a screwdriver and carefully pry the cover from the bottom and from the side surfaces, taking care not to damage the stand. The plafond should detach without difficulty.
Step 3
Use a marker to mark the order of connecting the electrical wires to the plafond terminals. In the absence of a marker, you can use strips of electrical tape of different widths, wrapping them around the wires.
Step 4
Disconnect the wires from the terminals and set the faulty lamp aside.
Step 5
Connect the wires to the terminals of the new lamp, using the marks made. Check the reliability of the contact of the conductive elements.
Step 6
Install the new shade in its place. Check the serviceability of the device using a toggle switch installed on the plafond.
