Instructions

Step 1

To replace the spark plugs on the right side in a naturally aspirated model, disconnect the ground wire from the battery. Then remove the air filter housing. To do this, disconnect the connector from the mass flow rate and intake air temperature sensor.

Step 2

Loosen the clamp that connects the inlet connection to the air filter housing. Remove the filter element and the back of the filter housing by removing the clips securing the top of the filter.

Step 3

Remove the ignition coil by disconnecting the connector from it and turning it 180 degrees. Using a spark plug wrench, remove the spark plug. Then, also using the key, mount a new one.

Step 4

Remove the battery and its bracket, proceeding to replace the candles on the left side. After disconnecting the connector from the ignition coil, rotate it 180 degrees to remove. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug wrench. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Step 5

To replace the spark plugs on a turbocharged model on the right side, disconnect the ground wire from the battery. Remove the air intake box by undoing the clips securing it to the front of the body. Disconnect the connector from the MAF sensor.

Step 6

Loosen the clamp connecting the inlet to the inlet connection. Disconnect the clip from the air filter housing, remove the back of the housing and the filter element. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the front of the air filter housing to the body. Remove the front of the filter housing.

Step 7

Remove the ignition coil by disconnecting the connector from it and turning it 180 degrees. Remove the spark plug using a spark plug wrench.

Step 8

Remove the battery with the candle replacement bracket on the left side. Disconnect the air tube from the secondary air pump. Remove the bolts that secure the manifold to the left valve cover and lift it up. Remove the ignition coil and spark plug. Install all elements in reverse order.
