The Gazelle car is popular among carriers of passengers and small-sized cargo due to its relatively low cost, wide range of spare parts and cheap service. Many breakdowns of a Gazelle car can be repaired on their own, including stove repair or replacement.
Instructions
Step 1
In winter, the stove of a Gazelle car plays a key role, providing a comfortable temperature in the passenger compartment for its passengers and driver. If the stove is out of order and needs repair in order to properly remove the stove on the Gazelle, first familiarize yourself with its diagram and stock up on the necessary automotive tool. Carefully remove the torpedo from the stove of your minibus, avoiding damage to it, from the stove itself, alternately disconnect all control cables and hoses, pulling out the car heater in one piece.
Step 2
If you want to remove the stove of a Gazelle car, study the structure of stoves of other domestic minibuses and cars. For example, the stove of the Russian SUV Niva has a similar structure, so you can use its parts to repair and modernize the heater of your minibus. Removing the stove from the Gazelle is another half of the work to carry out its repair. Proceed with a neat and correct analysis of the heater itself. Use a wrench to loosen the four nuts on the top of the van, but try to hold the bolts firmly using a ten-spanner wrench.
Step 3
Unscrew the bolts and, in order to disassemble the stove on the Gazelle, separate the cap of the electric motor from the heater. First remove the cap, being careful not to damage it, and then remove the stove fan. Remove the gasket located under the fan, take a medium screwdriver and unscrew the two screws from the fan mount, then separate the impeller from the car heater motor shaft. Remove the resistor located on the stove and separate the protective casing from it, performing the final stage of disassembling the heater.
Step 4
Having disassembled the stove, identify the causes of its malfunction, which will show your next steps. If the heater of the minibus is amenable to further repair, change its faulty parts for new spare parts, choosing either “native” parts for Gazelle car stoves, or old spare parts from a previously disassembled car stove of the Niva SUV. If the interior of your minibus is constantly cold, despite a properly working heater, upgrade the stove itself. To do this, install an additional radiator at the entrance to the standard device.
