According to the AvtoVAZ regulations, it is necessary to change the candles on the Lada Priora car every thirty thousand kilometers. To carry out this procedure, it is not at all necessary to visit a service center. You can change the candles yourself, spending only 30 minutes of your personal time.

Necessary

  • - a set of new candles;
  • - magnetic key;
  • - screwdriver;
  • - a can of compressed air.

Instructions

Step 1

Visit a car store and purchase a set of candles. The manufacturer recommends using native candles for installation in Prioru. However, similar candles from a different brand can be purchased. The only difference is that native candles need to be changed more often than, for example, iridium ones. Also, do not change the candles one by one, so change all four at once. When buying, pay attention to the packaging of the candles. It must be whole. Under no circumstances should you buy candles from your hands, otherwise you risk harming your car.

Step 2

Stop the car engine and remove the keys from the ignition. Open the hood. Just in case, remove the negative terminal from the battery. This will de-energize the on-board power system. On the cylinder head, you will see a protective plastic cover. On older versions of the Priora, it is attached with short bolts. Unscrew them to remove the protection. If you have an updated Priora model, then to remove it you just need to pull a little on one of the edges of the casing. The latch will pop out of the piston mount. Carefully detach the remaining four pistons.

Step 3

Disconnect the high voltage wires from the ignition modules. Locate the bolt that secures the ignition module to the cylinder head cover. Unscrew it carefully. Remove all ignition modules. Examine them carefully. If necessary, blow out with compressed air from a can.

Step 4

Insert the magnetic key into the spark plug well. Gently slide the candle off the "dead center" and begin to twist it in smooth movements. If the candle goes tight, then make a few turns in the opposite direction and lay a twist. Take out the key along with the candle. Examine her. Blow out the spark plug well with compressed air.

Step 5

Insert a new candle into the candle well and screw it in by hand. After that, tighten the spark plug with a wrench with a torque of 31-39 Nm. Replace the other three candles using the same scheme. Reinstall the ignition modules. Tighten the mounting bolts. Clean the high-voltage wire pads and put them on the ignition modules. Replacing the plugs is complete.
