Modern diesel engines are usually equipped with turbines and gas recovery systems. The introduction of such technologies contributes to the intensive contamination of engine oil with various combustion products. Therefore, the timely replacement of oil in the lubrication system of a diesel engine is one of the measures aimed at increasing the service life of the vehicle's power plant.
Necessary
- - engine oil,
- - flushing oil.
Instructions
Step 1
The engine oil is changed after the vehicle has driven every 10 thousand kilometers. Simultaneously with draining the oil from the engine, all impurities in it, which contribute to intensive wear of the surfaces of the rubbing parts of the crank mechanism and the piston group of the engine, are removed.
Step 2
However, one oil change is clearly not enough for high-quality cleaning of the internal surfaces of the engine. Therefore, experts strongly recommend that car owners perform an intermediate flush of the diesel engine with a special flushing oil, and after removing it, pour fresh engine oil into the engine.
Step 3
For a more thorough cleaning of the lubrication system, the used engine oil is drained or pumped out from the warm engine, the plug in the oil pan is screwed in (if the oil was drained, not pumped out), the system is filled at a level, in accordance with the mark on the dipstick, with flushing oil, after which the engine starts up, and he is allowed to work for 5-10 minutes. After the specified time has elapsed, the flush is removed and the diesel engine is filled with fresh oil.
