Step 1
Unconditional deactivation of airbags occurs in the following cases: when the risk of airbags deployment exceeds the risk from its absence; when the driver cannot position himself so that at least 25.4 cm remains from the human body to the central part of the airbag when using the machine; finding a child in a car seat in the front passenger seat. In all other cases, the question of disabling the airbag remains at the discretion of the car owner.
Step 2
To turn off the pillows, you need to look at your car model. In some brands, the pillow can be turned off automatically using the on-board computer. In this case, the corresponding icon will light up on the display.
Step 3
Most car models use an easier way to deactivate the airbags. There is a lock next to the driver's seat that can be opened and closed with the ignition key. It is with its help that you can turn off or turn on the pillow.
Step 4
Or, as an option, you can grope in the seat for the wires connecting the airbag. They work from pressure. When the center of gravity falls on them, they close and transmit a signal to the pillow that it should be in working order. If these wires are disconnected, the pillow is deactivated and, on occasion, will not work.
