Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to dilute the polyester putty and quickly apply it to the surface of the motorcycle. Do not stir it in large quantities, otherwise you may not have time to apply it, and it will dry out. It is best to putty in one stroke to avoid surface irregularities. The excess must be removed using a sandpaper. When applying the first layer of putty, use coarse abrasive paper without moisture protection.

Step 2

Further, skins -200, 240 are used, and the surface is treated together with water. Once the surface is smooth, you can start priming. The primer is one-component, porous filling, etching. If welding work was carried out with a motorcycle, then you cannot do without a primer. It needs to be diluted to a liquid consistency so that it can be applied like a paint. The advantage of the primer is that it dries quickly. If, when the spray gun is pressed, large drops of primer are sprayed out, and it falls unevenly on the surface, then the primer must be further diluted. Degrease the motorcycle surface before applying the primer. The first layer is applied with a gentle primer, the second after 15 minutes - one-component, the third - two-component. After another 15 minutes, you need to apply the identifier. With it, you can determine the existing irregularities on the surface. The next day after drying, it is necessary to re-sand.

Step 3

After the surface of the motorcycle has become smooth and even, it must be wiped, dried and pasted over with masking tape those places that will not be painted.

Step 4

To paint a motorcycle, you need to choose high-quality paint, with the entire set - varnish, solvent, pigment, hardener.

Step 5

Before you start painting, you need to position the motorcycle so that it can be approached from either side. The room temperature should be at least 20 degrees. Next, you need to mix the paint - first the pigment: metallic, mother-of-pearl or acrylic. The first layer is applied - the background, then - the native paint and varnish.

Step 6

The pigment is diluted according to the instructions and applied in a thin layer to the surface of the motorcycle. It is very important when applying this layer to go through all folds, corners and openings with a spray gun.

After 15 minutes, you can start painting the entire surface of the motorcycle. There should be at least three layers applied. After applying the paint (after 20 minutes), the surface can be varnished.

Step 7

If after painting there are smudges and irregularities, then after a week you can polish the surface.
