Car tinting is a very popular phenomenon. Even in spite of all the limitations associated with it. Indeed, for incorrectly applied or too dense tint, the traffic safety inspection determined administrative responsibility in the form of a fine. However, it was the point about measuring the toning that became the most controversial. After all, this procedure is not as simple as it seems.

Instructions

Step 1

When measuring, first of all, check the light transmission of the glasses using special devices called "Glare", "Tonic" or "Light". Toning must be in accordance with GOST. According to it, the light transmission of the windshield is at least 75%. Glasses that are not windscreens but enter the driver's field of view and define forward visibility must transmit up to 70% of the light. The tinting of the rest of the glasses that are not involved in driving is not regulated by law.

Step 2

Another important condition when measuring toning is as follows: the film should not distort the driver's eye perception of the basic colors - white, yellow, red, green and blue.

Step 3

In order to correctly measure the tint, a number of conditions must be met. All of them are spelled out in the GOST concerning this problem. At the time of measurement, the air temperature should be from +15 to +250 degrees Celsius. The pressure should be 86-106 kPa (from 645.1 mm Hg to 795.1 mm Hg). And the relative humidity should range from 40 to 80%.

Step 4

The devices used for the measurement must be certified and entered in a special register. Remember that you can either measure the tinting yourself, or a technical service employee directly at the traffic police post. The inspectors themselves do not have the right to touch your glasses with the device.

Step 5

The actual measurement procedure is as follows. A device is applied to the glass on the inside of the car, it is turned on and the density of the tint film is measured for a certain time. The result is shown on the display. Based on the results of the check, a decision is made: write out a fine or release due to the fact that everything is normal.
