The first thing that the owner of a newly purchased car is faced with is the need to register and obtain license plates (numbers). The registration of a vehicle with the traffic police is given 5 days from the date of purchase.

a passport or other document that will prove your identity, a purchase and sale agreement or a certificate of account that confirms your ownership, an OSAGO policy, TCP or a registration document, a power of attorney for the right to register
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the documents required for registration. Please note that in the CTP policy, the field for the number must be left blank. A power of attorney for the right to register will be required if you are acting on behalf of another person.
Step 2
Carefully check the documents that confirm your ownership, the slightest mistake or inaccuracy will lead to the fact that they will have to be reissued. Compare the data on the vehicle with the actual data. See if the surnames, names and patronymics of all persons are fully written.
Step 3
Submit documents to the registration department of the traffic police at the place of registration, where write an application for registration of the car. Before you put your signature on the document, double-check the correctness of the data specified in it. Pay tax fees at the nearest bank branch. If you are eligible or exempt from payments, then present the relevant documents.
Step 4
Submit your vehicle for inspection. The inspector will carefully check the correspondence of the serial numbers to the documents. If it turns out that they are changed, forged or not readable, then the vehicle will be detained until the reasons are clarified.
Step 5
After paperwork, payment of fees and inspection, you will be given license plates. This will happen on the same day, if your application does not require additional checks. In case of any doubts, the traffic police will give you copies of the accepted documents and a certificate that they are accepted. Then wait until the end of the check and receive the numbers.
