Re-registration of a car is required in cases when its owner changes, that is, when buying, selling, donating or inheriting. In order to "rewrite" the car for yourself, you need to collect the necessary package of documents, come to the traffic police and spend some time on a simple re-registration procedure.

- - technical device passport;
- - passport of the former owner;
- - passport of the new owner;
- - documents confirming the ownership of the car.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the traffic police department where the car was registered and write a statement to deregister it. An employee of the registration department will issue a receipt for payment of the state duty for removing the car from the register. Pay the receipt at the nearest bank branch.
Step 2
Get a vehicle inspection. The result of passing is a corresponding mark on the application for deregistering the vehicle.
Step 3
Go to the vehicle registration window and provide a package of documents: passport of a technical vehicle; civil passport of the previous owner; documents confirming ownership; statement; power of attorney for the right to own a car; if required, state numbers. Wait for the traffic police officer to make changes to the documentation and carry out the procedure for removing the car from the register.
Step 4
Contact the registration department of the traffic police at the place of residence of the new owner. Write an application for registration of the car in connection with one of the cases of transfer of rights. In the nearest branch of the bank, pay the state duty for registration of the car.
Step 5
Go through the vehicle inspection procedure. Get a mark of its passage on the application for registration of the car.
Step 6
Provide a package of documents to the registration window, including: passport of the technical device; documents confirming the transfer of ownership (donation, certificate-account, notarized will); passport; a statement with a note about the passage of the inspection.
Step 7
Get a package of documents after processing and new state numbers from the registration department. The vehicle passport must contain information about the new owner.
Step 8
Issue an OSAGO policy for a car with an insurance company.
