Unpleasant odors in the car are quite common. It usually comes from a harsh aroma, expired forgotten foods, an overturned can containing something specific - glue, acetone, gasoline, or even wine. There are a lot of options for the appearance of a smell, but there are much fewer ways to get rid of it.
It is necessary
- cleaner;
- brush;
- gloves;
- dry cleaning salon.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest and fastest way is dry cleaning. You can do it yourself, or you can do it in a specialized salon. This method allows you to eliminate not only the unpleasant odor, but also its cause. If you decide to do dry cleaning yourself, you need to get a car interior cleaner first. A carpet cleaner may also work. Unfortunately, this method will not help if the smell is coming from the entire cabin. For example, it is not effective at getting rid of tobacco smoke or ingrained fragrance odors.
Step 2
You can purchase a spray that removes unpleasant odors. An alternative to a spray can be a light fragrance, the smell of which is pleasant for you. But there are also "pitfalls" here. Your scent may mix with a pre-existing odor and the situation will only get worse!
Step 3
A modern and effective method for eliminating any unpleasant odor is ozonation. Ozone is pumped into your car, which, as a result of a chemical reaction, destroys all odors. Ozonation perfectly cleans the interior, leaving a pleasant fresh scent. But this procedure is performed only after the entire interior has been dry-cleaned.
Step 4
If you can't get rid of the annoying smell, and its source is still very noticeable on the fabric, try to drag the interior. If there is a fabric similar to yours, then only the damaged part can be replaced. If not, you will have to drag the entire cabin.
