Step 1
In cases where the cause of intensive wear is the difference in tire pressure, this parameter is corrected using a compressor. But when uneven wear occurs due to the resulting backlash, then it is necessary to find out which unit is faulty.

For the purpose of diagnostics, the car is lifted on a jack, and the lower suspension arm of the side on which the defect is found is installed on a rigid support, after which the jack is removed.
Step 3
Gripping the wheel in the center with your hands in one horizontal plane, and trying to turn it to the left and right, a backlash of the tie rod tip is revealed. If the result is positive, the tip is replaced with a new one.

To check the technical condition of the wheel bearing and the ball joint, it is necessary to lay the mount in the upper hole of the wheel disk and, holding it with your hands, swing the suspension up and down, while the foot of your foot presses the lower part of the wheel rim inward. Any kickback in the leg indicates a malfunction of the tested nodes.

Moreover, the knocks of the ball joint and the hub bearing are different. So it is not difficult to determine in which node the backlash has formed. It is a little more difficult to identify the backlash in the silent blocks, but with the help of a pry bar or a large screwdriver, this problem is also solved.

Having identified the faulty parts, and replacing them with new ones, thereby eliminating the wheel play, a mandatory rearrangement of the wheels is made.
