Mazda 3 is a car that is very popular with Russian motorists. In this regard, many questions about operation and repair arise, which are quite realistic to solve on their own, for example, to replace lamps.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have installed xenon lamps, then their own replacement is prohibited. Because improper operation increases the possibility of electric shock. When replacing halogen bulbs, be careful not to break them.
Step 2
Before replacing bulbs, check that the ignition and the central switch for lighting are off. After that, open the hood and remove the screws that secure the shield behind which the lamps are located. To replace high beam bulbs, rotate the socket and remove it from the headlight. Remember to gently pull back when removing the cartridge.
Step 3
Disconnect the electrical connector from the socket by pressing down on the latch and pulling it towards you. Install a new lamp and reassemble in reverse order. Remember not to touch the lamp with bare hands, as grease stains can cause additional heating of the lamp and its failure. Perform all actions with gloves, and if stains appear, immediately remove them with an alcohol solution applied to a clean rag.
Step 4
To replace the dipped beam bulbs, disconnect the electrical connector and detach the sealing cover. Then remove the bulb holder by moving it to the side. Take out the old lamp and replace it. In order to change the bulbs in the fog lights, unscrew the screws securing the dirt cover. After that, unscrew the lamp holder and take it out. Remember to disconnect the electrical connector and install a new lighting fixture.
Step 5
To replace the bulbs in the taillights, gently pull out the cores and flip off the plastic holders securing the rear trunk panel. Then detach the luggage compartment trim. Unscrew the required lamp holder from the lamp housing and replace the lamp.
