Replacing bulbs often requires removing the headlight unit. It is necessary to change the bulbs if they fail or deteriorate in emissivity. After all, road safety directly depends on the quality of lighting.
Instructions
Step 1
The Daewoo Nexia has block headlights that combine low beam, high beam, side lights and direction indicators. Sometimes it is necessary to remove the front bumper to remove the headlight, because one of the fixing bolts is behind it in a hard-to-reach place. However, you can do without it. Raise the hood and lock it in a certain position. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery to protect yourself from electric shock while working. Then unscrew the screws that are in the accessible area.
Step 2
Slide the screwdriver extension or screwdriver extension into the gap between the headlamp and the bumper, with which you can remove the remaining screw. Remember to place a rag under the knob or wrap it around to avoid damaging the car paintwork. If in this way you could not remove the headlamp, then remove the bumper and carry out this procedure.
Step 3
Then turn the plastic cover counterclockwise and carefully remove it from the headlight. Disconnect the electrical connector that fits the lamp. Carefully flip off the desired retainer that secures the lamp and remove it. Replace the bulb, making sure that there are no greasy stains on the bulb. Otherwise, it will cause a quick failure of the lighting fixture.
Step 4
To avoid this, carry out work with gloves. If stains appear, remove them immediately with an alcohol solution and a clean rag or tissue. After installation, reassemble in reverse order. After that, be sure to check the performance of the new equipment and adjust the lamps, which is necessary to obtain the greatest beneficial effect from the operation of lighting devices.
