The basic equipment of the car includes a cigarette lighter, and, it would seem, if you are a non-smoking car enthusiast, the device is completely unnecessary. Do you need to charge your mobile phone battery or turn on the fan or laptop while driving? the cigarette lighter will help with this. And the socket of this design plays the role of an ordinary household outlet in the car. But, like any technique, the car tends to accumulate dirt and dust, and the cigarette lighter socket is sure to clog up.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the radio frame by prying it around the perimeter with a flat-blade screwdriver. After opening the ashtray, unscrew the screws that secure the ashtray. Take out the ashtray and disconnect the wiring from the car battery terminals. Also remove the cladding on the floor tunnel.
Step 2
Remove the coil from the cigarette lighter, then remove the backlight bulb from the socket and the back cover. Remove the cigarette lighter from the housing - ring, prying it with a screwdriver, and then remove the backlight ring. Press down on the lamp screen so that the screen antenna appears in the slot in the cigarette lighter light guide, and remove it.
Step 3
Use a screwdriver to push the latch on the cigarette lighter socket until it loses engagement with the light guide. Push out the socket out of the lining, and then remove it from the lining by pushing a block with wires through the hole.
Step 4
Check the heating time of the cigarette lighter coil, it should strictly be 20 seconds. After that, the cigarette lighter cartridge with a click should take its original position. If this time is more or less than 20 s, adjust the cigarette lighter by bending or unbending the corresponding contacts.
Step 5
Squeeze the plastic clips of the optical fiber and, pushing it outward, remove it from the cladding body. Install the cigarette lighter in reverse order.
