With the onset of cold weather, all car owners are interested in only one question - how to warm their iron horse? Those who keep their cars on the street are pretty jealous of the garage owner. However, there will be little use for a car house if it is not properly warmed up.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you start heating the garage, you need to study it for tightness and insulation. Otherwise, all your efforts will go to waste and you will waste your time, as well as expensive fuel or electricity. This is especially important for owners of iron, not capital garages.
Step 2
Of course, when insulating a garage, space is eaten up, but this is a small sacrifice compared to the noble intention to heat the street. Many garage owners insulate walls and gates with polystyrene foam and clapboard on top. This layer will create an air gap and keep the heat inside. Polyfoam can be replaced with modern refractory insulation or glass wool, and the lining can even be replaced with ordinary cardboard.
Step 3
If the garage door is not airtight, you can glue an additional rubber band or silicone gasket at the points of closure. This is important, as heat often leaves the garage in this way.
Step 4
The floor in garages is iron or concrete. This also does not contribute to rapid heating. Concrete, for example, takes a very long time to heat up and will absorb a lot of heat that could be beneficial. Therefore, it is best to make wooden flooring on the floor.
Step 5
After you have insulated and sealed the garage, you can start heating it directly using special devices. It can be a small fan heater or an oil heater. It is not easy to heat the garage with such devices, but it is quite possible to raise the temperature so that your iron horse starts up well in frost.
Step 6
If you need a fairly high temperature, for example, to warm up a car that won't start, get a heat gun. You can heat the room or point it directly at a frozen car engine. Such a device will quickly warm up the garage and in an hour and a half you will start the car without any problems, if you have not had the candles filled. The heat gun is powered by electricity.
Step 7
If there is no electricity in your garage, you need to choose a heater that works autonomously. This can be a gas heater powered by ordinary household gas cylinders. This is a fairly quick and economical way to heat your garage. But you need to remember about safety precautions. When using this device, carbon monoxide is emitted, so it is necessary not to use it for a long time and leave the door ajar, as well as periodically ventilate the room.
