Necessary
- Curly screwdriver,
- 13 mm spanner.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the many reasons of this kind in cars of "classic" models produced at the Volzhsky Automobile Plant may be a fuel tank leak. To find out the reason and to confirm any doubts that have arisen, it is enough to open the luggage compartment lid. If the smell becomes more intense, then free the tank from fuel residues by draining gasoline from it.
Step 2
Further in the luggage compartment, by unscrewing the screws, the inner lining of the right side of the trunk is removed.
Step 3
From now on, full access to the gas tank is opened. From which the steam pipe is removed, and after the clamps are released with a screwdriver, the intake rubber hose is removed.
Step 4
Then the electrical wiring connected to the fuel level sensor in the gas tank is disconnected.
Step 5
The upper bolt on the tie strap that fixes the fuel tank in its original place is unscrewed with a 13 mm wrench, and the gas tank itself is successfully removed from the luggage compartment of the car.
