For a comfortable ride in a car, two conditions are necessary: a flat road and a good suspension. The suspension connects the wheel and body and absorbs all shocks from uneven road surfaces and also dampens body vibrations. In modern suspensions, a damper element - a shock absorber, and an elastic element - a spring or a spring - are used to soften wheel impacts to the body and ensure safe and easy driving.
Instructions
Step 1
The shock absorber controls spring compression and absorbs body vibrations. Thus, the body is kept on the same level, and the car is reliably connected to the road. The springs ensure the verticality of the moving wheels, their correct geometry. However, during operation, due to aging of the metal, the elasticity of the springs changes, the normal movement of the car is disrupted. The body sags, the ground clearance decreases, the wear of the entire vehicle accelerates, in which case you need to change the spring. The springs are changed in pairs. To change the spring: Buy pullers from a car dealer.
Step 2
Raise the machine as far as possible with a jack and remove the wheel.
Tighten the spring with pullers.
Step 3
Place the pullers on the new spring and pull it back until it snaps into place.
Step 4
Release the puller slowly until the spring is firmly in the groove with the upper and lower coils.
Install the second spring in the same way as the first.
