Until recently, the unknown brand Qoros has become a new page in the history of the Chinese automotive industry. The company was founded back in 2007 and is a kind of merger of manufacturers from two countries - China and Israel. The purpose of creating such an unusual union was not only to reach the European level, but also to create serious competition for global manufacturers, whose names have been known for centuries.
Already the first Qoros car impressed the automotive world. The fact is that the Qoros 3 sedan is the only Chinese-made sedan at the moment, which, having passed the Euro NCAP crash test, immediately received the highest rating - five stars. Its appearance has put many critics and consumers on guard. Qoros management has repeatedly changed its decision, which car will be the first in the lineup. At first it was a coupe, then a new version was the emergence of a crossover. The long-awaited Qoros sedan suddenly appeared at the Geneva Motor Show, and the crossover and station wagon were shown only in a prototype based on the sedan.
At the moment, Qoros 3 is available in several modification options - with a native gasoline atmospheric four-cylinder engine and a turbocharged analogue. In the first version, the car's power is 126 horsepower, in the second - 156. This figure is planned to increase in the near future.
Consumers also have a choice of gearboxes - mechanical or preselective. The standard set of sedan options also surprises with its variety - eight speakers of the audio system, airbags, power front seats, central locking, an entertainment system with an 8-inch digital screen, heating and power windows and mirrors, climate and cruise control, a rear-view camera, a start system -stop, ESP and ABS.
The first sales of the new sedan began in Slovakia. The country was not chosen by chance. The registration of the necessary documents is easier here than in other states. By 2015, Qoros plans to appear with its creations in the automotive markets of France, Germany, Great Britain and Italy. Sedans will start driving on Russian roads no earlier than 2017. The manufacturer is moving towards its goal at a rapid pace. At the upcoming Geneva exhibition, the company will present three models of completely new cars at once.
According to the comments of the founders of Qoros, if the first premiere is successful, in the near future, consumers will be able to see not only sedan cars, but also a crossover, a B-class sedan, and a station wagon. Moreover, everyone will be able to imagine what the new items will look like at the next automobile exhibitions and motor shows.
It's also worth noting that the model information changes for the first Qoros are not the only surprises from the manufacturer. For many consumers, the announcement of the price of the sedan was not a very pleasant event. Initially, it was about 700,000 rubles, but the total cost of the basic configuration was 900,000 rubles. And yet, the indicators that characterize the new model were able to make these figures fully justified. Unfortunately, only Russian consumers will be able to make sure of the quality and reliability of the Qoros 3 sedan only in a few years.
