Nissan Motor Company is one of the three largest Japanese car manufacturers. Dozens of enterprises in different countries of the world are engaged in the assembly of cars of this brand, to which Russia is to join this year. In the summer, the world premiere of the Nissan model will take place in Moscow, the production of which begins in our country.
The new Nissan B-class sedan with the well-known name Almera will be officially presented to the public at the next Moscow International Motor Show, which will open on August 29. The world premiere of a model specially designed for Russia and Ukraine is scheduled for 14:30 on the first day of the exhibition. In hall 13 of the third pavilion Crocus Expo IEC, she will be personally presented by Andy Palmer, Vice President of the Japanese company.
The appearance of the new car became known in early 2012 - this is a model produced in Japan under the name Bluebird Sylphy. Nissan plans to win 7% of the Russian car market from competitors by 2016 and calls the Nissan Almera one of its trump cards in this struggle. The Japanese consider it a unique proposition in the budget passenger car segment due to the size of the body and the spacious passenger compartment.
The production of Nissan Almera will be carried out by the Russian auto giant - OJSC AvtoVAZ. A new line has already been launched at the Togliatti plant, where it is planned to assemble cars on the B0 platform used in the Renault Logan model. In addition to the Russian-Japanese Nissan Almera, this is the Franco-Russian LADA Largus, and in the future, according to representatives of the car plant, five models under the brands Nissan, LADA and Renault will leave this line.
The capacity of the assembly line allows the production of up to 350,000 vehicles per year, and the workers employed on it have already been trained under the guidance of Japanese specialists. The plant appears to be set to begin full-scale production. In the summer, representatives of AvtoVAZ announced the start of assembling a pilot series of Nissan Almera, and the serial production of the car should start in November 2012. The novelty adapted to the Russian market, on which the British worked in addition to domestic and Japanese specialists, will go on sale next year.
