Many car owners fill up with gas automatically without hesitation. However, not all drivers are experienced, there are also beginners who immediately have questions: when to refuel, where is the best place to refuel your car, how to do it correctly?
Instructions
Step 1
To determine that gasoline in your car is running out, you can blink the signal light, which is located on the indicators. In the case when the fuel level is close to zero, it starts to burn. However, it is best not to come to such an extreme situation. Make it a habit to stop by on your way to a gas station when the pointer arrow shows the level below half the tank.
Step 2
The next question you may have is where is the best place to refuel? Fuel varies in quality at different gas stations, so check with relatives, friends or acquaintances where they fill up. Choose two or three gas stations with a successful reputation and refuel, if possible, only at them.
Step 3
It is important to know what type of fuel your car needs: diesel (diesel) or gasoline. It depends on what the engine is designed for. If it runs on gasoline, never fill it with diesel fuel (and vice versa). This can seriously damage the engine. To find out what fuel to fill the car with, read the instructions for it; the brand and type of fuel must be indicated there.
Step 4
To properly park at a gas station, you need to know which side of the car's body the gas tank hatch is on. Drive up to the speaker from the side on which it is located. For convenient refueling, do not park your car too close to a gas station: leave such a distance between it and your car so that you can stand between them.
Step 5
It must be remembered that fire safety rules must be followed at the gas station. First, after stopping the car, turn off the engine. Secondly, do not smoke in any way.
Step 6
If there is a refueller at the gas station, tell him the brand of the gasoline you need and the number of liters (or until the tank is full). Then pay at the checkout the cost of gasoline, also indicating the specific number of liters or refueling "to a full tank". Be sure to take your check. Having paid for gasoline, do not forget to give the gas station operator a "tip" from the change, especially if he has served you well.
Step 7
If there are no refuellers at the gas station, then you will have to refuel yourself. Open the fuel filler flap, unscrew the cap from its neck, take the fuel nozzle and insert it into the filler neck. After that, press the lever and put it on the safety catch. The numbers on the column will show the cost and liters. After filling the required amount of fuel, the gas station itself will turn off its supply, and if the gas tank is full, the fuel supply will automatically stop.
Step 8
After that, as carefully as possible (so that the residues of the leaking gasoline do not spill over you or your car), pull out the refueling nozzle, hang it on the gas station, screw on the fuel filler cap and close the flap. Now you can hit the road with a full tank and great mood.
