The closed-loop fuel injection system, which is used in injection engines, is designed as follows: fuel is supplied from a gas tank, which is installed under the rear seat, through a high-pressure pump to the injector. Those fuel vapors that have not burned out are collected through the pipe into the adsorber, a device that collects excess fuel and sends it through the pipes, gravity and check valves back to the tank.
Instructions
Step 1
Such a power supply system can significantly save fuel. The gravity valve is a “safety net” that prevents gas from escaping when the car rolls over, and the check valve serves as a pressure regulator in the fuel tank, so in case of failure it should be replaced.
Step 2
To get to the check valve, in some cars you have to remove the fuel tank; in others, the design allows you to get to the check valve by simply removing the fuel filler flap. Unscrew the retaining clamps and remove the fuel tank.
Step 3
Then disconnect all pipes and wires from it. Above is a separator with a two-way check valve. To replace the non-return valve, you need to loosen the clamping clamps and disconnect the pipes. The valve is installed in the reverse order.
Step 4
If the design of the car allows you to replace the check valve without removing the tank, then you need to do the following: unscrew the gas tank flap; remove the adsorber and disconnect the vacuum hose from it. Then remove the non-return valve.
Step 5
Before replacing the valve, it can be checked. Disconnect the evaporator tube from the non-return valve and connect to the device that measures the vacuum. Then gradually apply a vacuum to the valve. The valve should open when the pressure reaches 1.33 kPa. Then you need to move the vacuum pump away from the vacuum connection to the high pressure connection.
Step 6
Then you need to slowly increase the pressure in the vacuum circuit and monitor the pressure gauge. If the pressure is kept below 5.07 kPa, the valve is in order. If the pressure does not hold, then the valve must be replaced.
The check valve must be installed in the reverse order of removal.
