The installation of gas equipment on VAZ cars improves the technical characteristics in terms of the economy and the quality of the engine. The decision to install the equipment should be deliberate and balanced, because it will make adjustments to the driving style and some changes in the operation of VAZ cars. In addition, if it is impossible to attach the cylinder to external body parts, installing a volumetric gas cylinder will reduce the useful volume of the luggage compartment.
Necessary
Gas cylinder, gas reducer, connecting pipes and hoses of appropriate characteristics and diameters, gas valve with built-in "dry" filter, solenoid petrol valve, gas-petrol switch, mixer, remote filling device, electronic gas mixture control units, electromagnetic nozzles …
Instructions
Step 1
Start by choosing the shape and capacity of your gas cylinder. There are two types of balloon shapes: toroidal and cylindrical. Choose a cylinder depending on the desired capacity and design features of a particular VAZ model. For example, on the "Niva" you can install a cylindrical cylinder with a capacity of up to 70 liters under the bottom of the car, attaching it to the floor of the luggage compartment, which will save the useful volume of the trunk. Toroidal cylinders completely repeat the shape of the wheel and are installed in the spare wheel compartment of VAZ cars - this limits the volume of the cylinder, but frees up space in the trunk.
Step 2
Choose gas equipment that matches your vehicle's engine type. It is divided into four "generations" according to the type of formation and supply of the gas mixture. The first generation equipment is designed to work in carburetor and simple injection models of engines.
Step 3
The second is intended for installation on VAZ injection engines with an exhaust gas catalytic converter. The third generation of equipment includes an electronic control unit for synchronous injection of a mixture with a metering distributor, and the fourth is equipped with a more advanced electronic unit for controlling electromagnetic injectors.
Step 4
Connect the built-in multivalve to the gas valve in the engine compartment with brass piping. Connect the gas valve with a pipe to the reducer-evaporator, and connect it with flexible hoses to the mixer mounted in the middle of the carburetor.
Step 5
Install the fuel switch in close proximity to the vehicle controls, in an easily accessible place for the driver. Install the petrol solenoid valve in the break in the petrol line in front of the carburetor.
Step 6
To install gas equipment of the third and fourth generations, contact the specialists - it requires additional components and software that is difficult to install and configure without special skills.
