Gas vehicle equipment is gaining more and more supporters. This is especially noticeable during the period of rising gasoline prices. In addition to saving on fuel, gas equipment still has many advantages.
Instructions
Step 1
To change the fuel system of the car, be sure to contact a specialized car service with an experienced technician. This will give a guarantee of quality when doing the job. A professional needs 3 hours to install equipment, an amateur - several days. So please take time and patience.
Step 2
Buy the equipment, the master will advise you. Only he will name the exact brand and size. But the list will definitely include: a switch that will be installed in the cabin, an insert into the carburetor of your car, a reducer-evaporator, two solenoid valves, one multivalve, a filling valve, a gas cylindrical cylinder and the necessary hose.
Step 3
Together with the master, select a place to install the gas cylinder. Most often, they choose a niche for a spare wheel or a trunk for this. Secure the cylinder with special tapes, like a gas tank.
Step 4
Run the pipe to the refueling valve by cutting it under the bumper or at the bottom of the rear fender.
Step 5
Remove the restrictor from the multivalve located on the cylinder.
Step 6
Pull a copper line from the cylinder to the engine compartment, through which gas will be supplied. Install the gas reducer, connect the solenoid valve and the line to it. Be sure to run coolant hoses through the gearbox.
Step 7
Install an electric valve in the gasoline hose in front of the carburetor, and in the cabin, in a convenient place for you, cut the switch.
Step 8
Adjust the gas regulator by setting the required sensitivity and proportioner.
Step 9
Then keep track of how much the gas cylinder is filled. The norm is considered to be a maximum filling of 80%. Do not fill the bottle with more than 55 liters.
Step 10
Watch how the car starts in the cold. Usually, on gas, this is difficult. Also, get used to the long lines at gas stations, as these are still rare. And be sure to change your air filter more often.
