If you only plan to drive quietly on smooth asphalt roads, then you can do without installing this equipment. But, in any case, the presence of a stretch guarantees a longer service life of the car in extreme off-road driving. There are both adjustable and non-adjustable spreaders. Stretch marks do not affect the result. But it is important to understand which one you need depending on the brand of the car on which it will be installed. For example, an unregulated one is ideal for a VAZ, since its geometry corresponds to the drawings of this car. If, during installation, it is not possible to freely put the stretch on the studs of the upper supports of the racks and the mismatch reaches more than two millimeters, then an adjustable stretch is needed here. Basically, the braces are installed on the A-pillars. But if you need to give the car body even more rigidity, you can install spacers between the supports of the rear shock absorbers.
