The traction characteristics of the motor sometimes become insufficient. In some modes, it begins to eject the combustible mixture back into the carburetor, which leads to a decrease in vehicle power and excessive fuel consumption. In such cases, it is recommended to install a petal valve between the engine cylinder and the carburetor.

It is necessary

  • - steel 4 mm thick;
  • - textolite plates 1 mm thick;
  • - phosphor bronze 0.3 mm;
  • - drill;
  • - jigsaw with a file for metal;
  • - grinder;
  • - file.

Instructions

Step 1

Assemble the valve body from textolite plates 1 mm thick. Glue them together with epoxy. Join the parts into a tenon for greater strength of the product. When the glue hardens, round off the corners at the front of the case and carefully sand the sidewalls with rectangular holes.

Step 2

If you are using a solid sheet of steel, first mark the valve parts on it, cut them out and fit them on emery. Weld them together to create a house-shaped structure. Cut out windows in it and drill holes 4, 5 mm in diameter, into which the petals and stops will then be fixed.

Step 3

Craft Phosphor Bronze Petals. Fix them together with the stop plates with M3 screws and nuts. Bend the stoppers from 0.8 mm sheet steel. Make an extra cut in the piston skirt to extend the intake phase.

Step 4

Cut the spacer from a solid piece of metal or brass brazed sheet steel. To make flanges, cut a 60x60 mm square from sheet steel. Cut a 29x30 mm window into it, into which the adapter will be inserted. Weld the parts together. To make a cylinder flange, remove the template from the carburetor and transfer the dimensions to the metal. Cut the flange with a grinder and finish on emery.

Step 5

To install the petal valve, remove the carburetor, remove the aluminum tube, and in its place, install the valve. On the side of the carburetor, paranite gaskets should be installed.
