Installing a radio tape recorder is a process that requires certain knowledge, attention and accuracy. Wiring errors can short-circuit the vehicle wiring. Therefore, it is better to entrust the connection of the audio system to specialists. However, if you are familiar with the basics of electrical engineering, you can try to install and connect the radio yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
Carefully study the instructions for your car radio. It should be remembered that the radio must be connected in accordance with the recommendations given in the instructions. In this case, it is necessary to use the instructions of this particular model, since even with the same manufacturer, wire markings and plugs may differ. Failure to do so can result in damage to the device and, in the worst case, even fire.
Step 2
Choose a mounting method for your car radio Almost any car radio can be fixed in two ways: side mounting or front mounting using a special mounting frame. For lateral mounting, standard vehicle fasteners are used. Select a position where the holes on the radio and the brackets align. Secure the radio by tightening two special screws on each side. Typically, mounting screws are included. For front mounting, insert the holder into the slot on the front panel. Bend the "petals" around the perimeter and fix the holder.
Step 3
Disconnect the plug and connect the wires according to the instructions for your car radio.
Step 4
Route the speaker, antenna, and power wires to the inside of the container. In this case, the ends of the wires should go into the interior of the car at a length that is convenient for work. Connect the wires to the connectors on the back of the car radio.
Step 5
Turn on the car radio and check the quality of work.
Step 6
Insert the car sound system into the container until the latches engage.
