Cars are available in front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Moreover, each type of drive has its pros and cons. Even the driving style is different when using different drives. Therefore, for beginners, the one that is easier to operate and safer is better suited.

Rights received, now the question arose of which car to choose. A beginner needs a car that is easy to operate, maintain, and economical enough. And all these indicators, oddly enough, depend on the type of drive. The most common is the front one, it is also the cheapest. Absolutely all cars from the budget class have front drive wheels. But there are also all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive options, so they should also be considered more carefully before choosing a car.

Front wheel drive cars

Cheap and cheerful - that's about them. But for newbies who have been driving recently, this is the most ideal option. For racing, a front-wheel drive car is not suitable, since its dynamics are rather weak. But the handling is excellent, although there is a risk of demolition of the front wheels when making a turn. But this risk is very small, and with a calm driving style, there is not even the possibility of demolition.

But there is also an advantage to this type of drive. The most important thing is cross-country ability, because the engine is installed between the drive wheels. That is, the bulk of the car is concentrated in front. The wheel grip is very good. Also, front-wheel drive cars are quite economical, they consume little gasoline, and have a fairly high degree of comfort. It is only important not to forget to maintain the same pressure in the tires, otherwise comfort will deteriorate.

Plus they are obvious - it is high cross-country ability. It is much higher than that of the front wheel drive. Disadvantages also lie on the surface - this is the complexity of the design and, therefore, the price. And if you add to this the high appetite of the car, because the engine consumes more gasoline, then the maintenance of such a car will result in a penny.

Such a drive is actively used in executive cars, as well as in military equipment, off-road vehicles for rallying, hunting and fishing. If you do not go on public roads, but drive through forests, swamps, deserts, then it is better, of course, to choose an all-wheel drive vehicle.

Rear wheel drive cars

The most expensive cars that are produced in the USA and Europe today, even the domestic classics, are equipped with rear-wheel drive. It is not very clear just how the classics ended up in the category of expensive cars, on a par with German concerns. Very good speed characteristics, better acceleration of the car, high dynamics. For these reasons, it is rear-wheel drive that is actively used for sports cars participating in races.

Everything about them is good, even fuel consumption is decently low when compared to all-wheel drive. But the possibility of skidding is extremely high, and getting out of it is not easy. For this reason alone, it is better for beginners to refuse to purchase a rear-wheel drive car. But professionals will love rear-wheel drive. The main plus is the lack of recoil to the steering wheel, which is found in front-wheel drive cars.
