You can make your own winter washer fluid. To do this, simply lower the freezing point of ordinary water. In this case, it is important not to use reagents such as salt and others.
In order to make non-freezing yourself, it is enough to add a substance to the water that will lower the crystallization point of water, i.e. will reduce its freezing point. It can be any supplement that is very easy to find, even when a standard liquid cannot be purchased or it suddenly runs out. These additives include all alcohol compounds, window cleaners, all surfactants, ammonia, and even vinegar.
There are several classic recipes:
1. Take any window cleaner that contains alcohol. Mix it with water in a 1: 2 ratio. Water needs twice as much as funds. The liquid is ready.
2. Take regular vodka, pour it into the washer barrel. The more vodka (or pure alcohol) there is, the lower the temperature is needed for the liquid to freeze.
3. You can also use a dishwashing detergent (aka surfactant). The freezing point is slightly higher there, i.e. the system will freeze at a lower temperature, but suitable for a normal cold day. The proportion is the same as in the first paragraph. However, it is important to note that sometimes dishwashing liquid freezes. It all depends on the quality of the dishwashing detergent.
4. To make an anti-freeze from vinegar, you need to mix water and vinegar (not essence) in a ratio of one to one. The method is pretty good, but the smell will be noticeable. The vinegar must be thoroughly mixed with water to prevent stratification of the components.
5. The use of ammonia is allowed. The smell will also be very heavy, but if there are no other options, then this method can be used.
It is better to use distilled water to prepare anti-freeze. Tap water is acceptable, but it is best not to use it often. It is also worth remembering that all the methods described above should be perceived as emergency methods of obtaining anti-freeze and it is better to replace it with a high-quality liquid as soon as possible.
