When installing a DVR, drivers often face such a problem as wires hanging and obstructing the view. How to disguise the wire and eliminate this unpleasant moment?
Preparatory work
In order to connect the DVR and hide the wire, you will need to purchase a USB charger for the cigarette lighter and a wire suitable for your device, that is, thoroughly prepare for the process. For example, mini USB from 3 to 5 meters. It is recommended to buy 5 meters or more so that there is a stock of material. The cost of the necessary tools will amount to a maximum of 400 rubles. If the driver decided to use a cigarette lighter splitter to solve the problem, then the price of the issue will be within 1,500 rubles.
We start to remove the wire
To do this, a wire is drawn under the roof lining near the windshield and stretched to the right pillar. If the wire runs along the torpedo, then between the frontal and the torpedo. If the option from the roof is chosen, then it is necessary to carefully bend the rubber band on the door and slip the wire under it. There is enough space for this thin cord to fit.
Then, using a screwdriver, slightly bend the corner of the torpedo and pass the wire downward behind the glove compartment. Then lower the glove compartment as for replacing the filter and attach the wire to the clamps at the very end of the installation in two places to the body panel.
After the work done, the wire from under the torpedo should go directly to the cigarette lighter. To completely get rid of the wire, you can buy a cigarette lighter splitter, designed for two or three devices, and connect to the cigarette lighter wires inside the torpedo.
We use a splitter
The purchased device plugs into an outlet on the front console. The splitter itself is located in the passenger's seat, so it will bring a minimum of inconvenience, especially if the driver often drives alone. To hide the wire, the upholstery is removed from the right pillar and they are laid there.
The devices are attached to the mirror, and the wires are pulled under the headliner, where they can be pulled between the upholstery and the glass without removing anything. Further, the cord is passed down the rack and lowered under the panel, into the corner at the junction of the glass, panel and rack.
If there is excess wire, then they are unwound and left in the same place. The splitter itself is attached to the plastic on the right side using industrial tape. Before this, the surface must be degreased in advance. After the completion of the work, not a single extra wire will remain in the salon!
