The first road signs appeared along with cars. Paris is considered their homeland, where, in order to avoid accidents, they began to put special plates and inscriptions between horses and cars. At first there were only warning signs, then they became more and more, due to the increase in the number of cars on the roads. Now their number is very large, and the usual composition was formed not so long ago, in the twentieth century.

Instructions

Step 1

You can make a road sign at home if you have the necessary material and equipment. First, find a suitable support on which the sign itself will be attached directly. It can be a small-diameter pipe, a wooden beam, or it can simply be fixed on the existing terrain.

Step 2

Take a piece of galvanized steel and cut out the desired size and shape of the sign, for strength and stability, make two layers. Do not forget to make the fasteners from the back side, otherwise you will have to do this already in the finished product, which can significantly damage it.

Step 3

Cover the base for the sign with a reflective film. Stick it on a dry and clean surface free of corrosion. Treat additionally with alcohol for degreasing and better adhesion to the surface. The film can be applied on uneven surfaces with roughness and notches. A good and high quality material will ensure color consistency both day and night. Clean the film with a solution of detergent and water. After washing, rinse the film with water.

Step 4

Apply a road sign to the film. To do this, you can use a pre-prepared stencil or blank. The image can be made with paint, or pasted on with adhesive tape of the appropriate color. Then dry the sign, wipe it off, and reinstall it where it should be.
