Wheels get warm on all cars, especially in summer. There is nothing wrong with that. If there is a problem in the brake system, then this can lead to problems with tires and discs.

Wheels are heated on all cars without exception. Someone does not pay attention to this, while others are very worried about it. From the point of view of physical laws, heating of the wheels is normal, especially in urban environments. The car is constantly moving, braking, accelerating. All this leads to the emergence of a frictional force. As you know, friction of one surface against another increases the temperature.

Summer riding

If the movement by car takes place in the summer, the wheels already heat up from contact with the hot asphalt. Plus, the sun's rays act on the tires, heating them up. As a result, when driving in the summer, you can smell tar that comes from the wheels. This is normal. The main thing is that this process is not associated with breakdowns.

Tires in "Formula 1"

In Formula 1 car races, pilots cover more than two hundred kilometers in two hours. High speeds, constant overtaking, turns, braking lead to the fact that the tires quickly heat up and begin to wear out and deform. As a result, each of the participants in the Grand Prix must enter the pit stop at least twice to change the set of tires. Otherwise, the speed of the car is significantly reduced, and pieces of rubber fly from the tires.

Urban driving

All this applies to high speeds, when the rider rushes to the limit of the possible, constantly maneuvering. In urban conditions, the wheels also heat up, although not so much as to lead to deformation. And why, then, on some cars tires are warming up that they cannot be touched?

In this case, some malfunctions are possible.

Firstly, if the disks are not ventilated, then this leads to their rapid overheating. Naturally, warmed-up disks warm up the tires.

Secondly, when the pads are pressed too hard, it leads to overheating of the discs. As indicated above, this causes the tires to heat up. In this case, it is necessary to adjust the work of the pads.

Thirdly, if the caliper base does not work correctly, this also leads to heating of the wheel.

Wheels on any vehicle get hot. There is no escape from the laws of physics. High speeds, braking, turns heat up the tires a lot. If the ride is performed on a hot summer day in a city, then it is impossible to touch the wheels - they are so hot.
