And on the VAZ 2111 injection motor, the cooling fan works only through a relay on a signal from the control unit.
Troubleshooting on VAZ 2108 and VAZ 21083 engines
Thus, in order to eliminate a malfunction on the carburetor motor, it is necessary first of all to check the integrity of the fuses in the mounting block. Burnt fuses are easy to see with the naked eye. On machines up to 1998, check the relay for turning on the electric fan. If it is found that there is electrical contact between terminals "c" and "b" or no contact between "c" and "d", the relay must be replaced.
Also, one should not exclude the possibility of failure of the sensor installed in the car's radiator, as well as the electric fan itself. In order to test them for performance, it is enough to remove the contacts from the sensor and close them together. If the cooling fan starts working - it's all about the sensor, no - the problem lies in the motor of the electric fan.
Checking the inclusion of the fan on the VAZ 2111 engine
In case the injection engine is warming up, it is worth first checking the fuse that protects the electric fan circuit, then the auxiliary relay. The cooling fan relay can be found in the passenger compartment under the glove compartment. In doing so, make sure that the fan motor is forced into operation.
In addition, the electric fan on the VAZ 2111 engine is turned on according to the sensor located on the engine outlet. However, to establish a malfunction of this sensor, a service computer diagnostics is required.
