Probably every motorist has encountered an unpleasant sound when the wipers work. In the rain or in cold weather, the creak is so loud that it interrupts the sound of a working radio.
The creak of the windshield wipers is a fairly common occurrence among motorists. The sound is generated by the interaction between the wiper blade and the glass to be cleaned. Ideally, the gum should have such frictional properties that it will easily clean the glass and not experience excessive resistance. In real life, things are much worse. Low-quality products and fakes do not last long, and the creak appears after several heavy rains or snowfalls. Abrasive degradation occurs on the surface of the cleaning gum, and the shape of the fine-edged scraper is disrupted. As a result, when the wipers are working, stains, squeaks and extraneous noises appear. Such noise is a sure sign of the need to replace this consumable.
Also, you need to understand that incorrectly selected brushes can creak. For example, it is better not to use winter brushes in summer and vice versa. The polymer material loses its properties and elasticity, and this again leads to improper operation of the wiper and the occurrence of noise.
Most experienced motorists try to replace the brushes with new ones as soon as a creak appears. The appearance of extraneous sounds indicates that the brush can no longer perform its functions, and can also scratch the windshield, the repair of which will cost much more than a regular replacement of the brush.
Choosing a good brush is a tricky task. After all, their diversity is so great that, literally, eyes widen. There is one important factor to remember when buying. A high-quality brush will not always be expensive and vice versa. Very often you come across brushes, the cost of which is high, but their properties leave much to be desired.
