But sometimes there are problems with opening the hood lock, which can arise from the fact that the lock freezes, rusts or the draft breaks.
Usually, in order to open the VAZ hood lock, a lever is used, but there are times when it is not possible to do this either. In these cases, make a loop from an elastic strong wire, put it on the place of the bonnet lock where the standard rod is located, and pull. In order to crawl, lift the hood on one side and slip a block under it. The air intake can also be used for this.

There is also a second way. Using thin pliers, hook the cable in the hood handle from the passenger compartment and pull firmly on it. Just don’t have to pull. If there is a break in the tie rod in the middle, lift the corner of the hood from the driver's side, hook on the tie rod with a strong hook and pull. As soon as you can reach it with your hand, grab and pull the entire shirt out. Next, use pliers to cling to the piece of pull that goes to the lock, and pull. The hood lock will open.

A characteristic feature of Ford cars, the hood lock of which is opened with the ignition key, is that the hood sometimes stops opening. The reason for this may be that the cardan is out of engagement with the latch of the lock itself. First, make something out of the wire that looks like a long screwdriver, the working surface of which is flattened with a hammer. Next, you open the latch through the radiator grill. To do this, turn the screwdriver half a turn to the left until you hear a click, and then to the right. To facilitate access to the cardan, remove the caps and release the casing. Insert the gimbal back into engagement with the lock. To keep it secure, wrap the knot with electrical tape. You can also try connecting a new battery through the cigarette lighter of a Ford car, the hood lock should open.
