If you are a fan of a sporty driving style, then your car should stand out from the entire traffic flow with its characteristic tuning, which is unthinkable without a direct-flow muffler in the exhaust system. True, quite often there are amateurs who do not bother with reliable forcing of the engine and produce a powerful stream of decibels emitted by a muffler.

Instructions

Step 1

Although a straight-through muffler can be bought at any car store, a real athlete who does not tolerate bragging and leads an ascetic lifestyle will by no means undertake the installation of consumer goods, leaving this lot to the boys. After all, it is reasonable to trust in sports tuning only what he did himself. To repair the mufflers or assemble it yourself, purchase: - a piece of stainless pipe with a diameter of 60-400 mm;

- flanges with a diameter of 100 mm with a hole of 60 mm - 2 pcs;

- a piece of stainless pipe with a diameter of 100-700 mm;

- mineral insulation 600 * 700 mm;

- mesh made of heat-resistant steel 600 * 680 mm.

Step 2

Cut a piece of pipe with a diameter of 60 mm into two equal pieces. Weld a flange to one of them in the middle, thereby getting an inlet pipe. Leave the outer part unchanged, and in the other half, installed inside the muffler, drill with an electric drill with a diameter of 5-6 mm, as many holes as possible. Weld a flange with a ferrule into a pipe with a diameter of 100 mm and sink it inward by 10 mm.

Step 3

Next, prepare the second muffler pipe according to the following scheme: weld the flange to the remaining piece of pipe with a diameter of 60 mm, at a distance of 80 mm from the edge; in the process of further assembly, this part will need to be inserted into the future muffler.

Step 4

Place a mineral wool insulation inside the pipe with a diameter of 100 mm, this is necessary to reduce the noise of the device. To simplify the task of filling the muffler, roll the cotton wool around the pipe diameter and push it in until it comes out of the opposite side of the flange.

Step 5

Roll up the mesh and lower it inside the inserted insulation, while the mesh inside the muffler should be put on the pipe with drilled holes.

Step 6

After installing the silencer and mesh, insert the flange into the silencer. The flange, which was prepared in advance, must be inserted with the short end inward and sunk to a depth of 10 mm. Then just weld it to the pipe with electric welding.

Step 7

Cut off all fastening elements from the old muffler with a "grinder" and weld them onto the newly created, direct-flow one.
