It would seem that pumping up the wheel - what could be easier than such a procedure? Many amateurs and newbies think so until they get into the first skid due to uneven tire pressure. Also, many neglect safety measures, which very often leads to the pump tip falling out of the thread. In general, there are a lot of nuances here.

Instructions

Step 1

Before starting to inflate the tire, carefully examine its surface, if you notice a small hernia, give it to vulcanization. Also, be sure to check the pump, especially if it is powered by a cigarette lighter. In such pumps, the switch contact very often comes off, and this is very dangerous, because it is rather difficult to pull the hose out of the wheel during pumping. It is also worth checking the pump tip, there should be no rust on it, it should be free to twist or insert into the valve.

Step 2

If everything is ok, then you can carefully install the pump. First, look at the pressure in the tire. For asphalt pavement, the ideal pressure will be 2, 1-2, 2 atmospheres, or 210-220 kPa, and for off-road conditions, about 1, 9-2 atmospheres. If the pressure does not meet the requirements, then inflate or download the tire to the level you need. Do not use too much force when removing the tip. If you twist it correctly, then you do not have to pull it out by force.

Step 3

Next, tighten the protective caps. Many people do not pay attention to them, it often happens that they are simply lost. Do not neglect this, as soon as you notice the loss, immediately buy new ones in order to avoid further problems - clogging of the valve, the ingress of sand to the thread (which will result in its rusting).

Step 4

Before getting into the car and driving, once again inspect the surface of all tires, and also make a few blows with a stick on them. If everything is normal, then the stick will bounce sharply from the surface of the tires. This is an indicator that they are properly inflated and do not allow air to pass through.

Step 5

Before the first ride after inflating the tires, warm up the car well and drive at low speed for the first 100 meters. If everything is fine (there are no rattles and knocks), feel free to move on!
