At the same time, do not forget about safety precautions when working with electrical equipment. It is imperative to turn off the engine before carrying out work so as not to endanger your life.
How to replace spark plugs for Ford Fusion
To replace spark plugs from the engine, first remove the air filter housing. It is held in place by means of two bolts, which can be unscrewed with a socket head at “8”. Next, it is supposed to disconnect the air pipe.
The tips of the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs are removed very carefully so as not to damage them. And before proceeding with the direct dismantling, the candle wells should be blown out with compressed air to prevent the penetration of dust particles into the cylinders. For these purposes, it is quite possible to use an autocompressor.
The candles are unscrewed with a special key “16” with a rubber sleeve. With its help, old candles are removed from the wells and new ones are installed. Wrap them with enough hand force and tighten a little with a key. After that, the reassembly is carried out: the lugs of the high-voltage wires and the air filter housing are installed.
