Mitsubishi Pajero Mini owes its origins to Japanese marketers, who decided that if the buyer cannot afford the full-size version of the jeep, then it is necessary to offer a smaller version of it.
The car "saw the light" in 1994. Earlier, Japanese designers set themselves the task of creating a mini-copy of the full version of the jeep. However, the result is a completely original model; in addition to some external similarities, both the big and the small car have their own design features, which made it possible to single out the Mitsubishi Pajero Mini into a separate family.
Technical features of a small jeep
The car has a wheelbase of only 2, 2 m, but the technical parameters of the suspension are in no way inferior to the "older" Pajero. The front system is independent, on springs, the rear axle is one-piece. A distinctive feature is an all-metal body, which includes a stiffening frame and a frame, which is somewhat unusual for such a small car. The rear wheels are permanently driven, the front wheels can be connected as needed. Restyled Mitsubishi Pajero Mini models
By 1998, Japan had introduced new standards for the subcompact, giving fans the opportunity to experience a completely redesigned version. The designers abandoned the expensive color schemes inherent in luxury models in order to keep the Mini's price at an acceptable level. At the same time, the class of the SUV was upgraded while maintaining a high level of safety. In 2005, the developers slightly changed the front grille, "gave" the car a new rear bumper with headlights repeaters, and increased the wheelbase to improve technical characteristics. In turn, the designers have changed the style of the salon by installing new armchairs with soft upholstery and silver inserts.
The next restyling operations were carried out in 2008: the body was slightly "adjusted" by centering the spare wheel and changing the shape of the rear combined lights. To make the mini-jeep more similar to the full-size version, the front end was slightly tweaked. But most of all, the latest version differs in the interior: the appearance of the dashboard was completely changed, the indicators were enclosed in a silver frame, and the upholstery on the seats began to be made of better material. By 2012, the production of the Mitsubishi Pajero Mini was discontinued; instead, buyers began to offer Nissan Kix.
