Of all the businessmen in Western culture, the car dealers are considered the most cunning. But for some reason there is a feeling that our Russian car dealers will nevertheless give a head start in agility to their Western colleagues.

Dollar rate

This trick is pretty old, more than twenty years old, but it is still used by dodgy car dealers, especially in the regions. Quite an attractive price is set for the car, only in foreign currency. After the conclusion of the contract, the buyer learns that the currency rate is much higher than the official one. So even a budget car can cost a new owner 50 thousand, or even 100 more. Therefore, it is worthwhile to clarify the exchange rate before concluding a transaction.

Deposit

Again, it all starts with a tempting car price. The client makes a deposit up to one hundred thousand rubles. There is a clause in the contract, which states that 8% of the transaction amount is withheld by the salon. At the checkout, it is discovered that the price of the car differs from the announced one upwards. The buyer terminates the contract, but the salon gets 8%, just the amount of the deposit. Recently, this scheme was recognized as fraudulent, so if such a situation arises, you should immediately contact the law enforcement agencies.

Warranty binding

It often happens that the salon announces the extension of the warranty for a car of a certain model. In fact, it may happen that the most out-of-warranty operations, such as, for example, replacing rubber, under the terms of the contract, will be forced to carry out only in this salon. The "golden" guarantee expires if such unfavorable conditions are refused. And the disadvantage is that in simple salons, these operations are much cheaper.

"Left" equipment

In large car dealerships, of course, they will not allow themselves to do this, but if there is any doubt about the honesty of a car dealership "without a name", then it is better to ask the manager to enter a list of additional equipment into the contract. This must be done regardless of the specification of the complete set in the contract. There is a risk of getting a good car in top-end configuration, but with low-quality cheap wheels.

Free gifts

While everyone has known about free cheese for a long time, the trick of offering free rubber, floor mats, and the like helps attract a lot of customers to car dealerships. The catch lies in the fact that the cost of the gift is included in the price of the car, or the salons sell "illiquid", and such rubber cannot last long. Or you will have to pay extra for the audio system to the presented navigator. So be careful when buying a car.
