Ford vehicles are reliable and popular with Russian drivers. But even the most reliable technique ever breaks down. The radio tape recorder installed on a Ford car is no exception. You can go to the service and spend a decent amount. Or you can remove the radio tape recorder yourself.
Necessary
- - unnecessary plastic cards;
- - a spanner with a ring head;
- - a set of special keys called: FORCE F-910C1 490.00.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a plastic card. Carefully, so as not to leave scratches, pry and remove the four plugs around the perimeter of the radio. Locate the four bolts under the removed plugs and unscrew them with a wrench. Use caution, do not use force, proceed gradually and smoothly, as there is a risk that the screws may fall inward
Step 2
Proceed to dismantle the upper superstructure of the checkpoint. Start at the armrest, then carefully remove the console. Please note that the seat heating must be turned off. Find and, slightly prying the latches, unfasten the reverse rails. Remove the leather pad. The latches sit firmly, you need to act carefully. But breaking them is difficult enough.
Step 3
Unscrew the 2 bolts at the base of the ashtray and remove the radio frame. Please note that in some Ford models, the radios are not attached with four screws, but with latches. In order to remove the device, it is necessary to use special keys FORCE F-910C1 490.00.
Step 4
Take the keys and insert them into the grooves of the radio until you hear a click. Insert the keys first into the lower slots, then into the upper ones. Try to simultaneously pull the lower keys towards you and push the upper latches from top to bottom. Do not use force, the work must be done carefully. Otherwise, the latch will break and then you will definitely have to go to the service.
Step 5
The main thing to remember is not to rush and not worry if the radio tape recorder is difficult to remove. In extreme cases, there is always the opportunity to call the service.
