Autocars are most often used as a technique for moving goods in trade and at various enterprises, in warehouses, railway stations, and various types of ports. In industrial practice, autocars are often called "electric carts". These machines are characterized by good maneuverability and ease of operation. Since they are powered by electricity, there is no exhaust from the combustion of petroleum products. This allows you to operate the equipment in small, closed facilities.
Working with a car requires knowledge of safety and operating rules for these self-propelled carts. Loading and unloading must be supervised by the driver of the autocar. During these works, he must definitely get out of it and make sure that the load is placed evenly over the entire area of the body so that it does not move and does not fall when cornering. There must be no people in the cab during loading and unloading operations. If the load is accompanied by a worker, he must not stand between the load and the driver's cab.
In Russia, the first autocars began to be used in the 50s of the last century. This technique was produced (and is still being produced) by the Sarapul Electric Generating Plant (SEG). Over the decades, electric cars have undergone tremendous changes. Modern technology is much more powerful, more maneuverable, has a more presentable appearance.
Today, two types of autocars are produced: with a cab, where the driver's position is sitting, and with the driver's position - standing. These cars have lighting devices that allow you to move in absolute darkness. For safety and in accordance with GOST 18962–97 and GOST R. 12.4.026–2001, they are painted bright orange.
