Instructions
Step 1
An experienced motorist will immediately pay attention to the manifestation of defects of this kind. And at the first opportunity, it will begin to identify the causes of intensive wear of the wheel, or wheels.
Step 2
Typically, the blame for the appearance of signs of uneven tire wear is attributed to the wear of the pivot points of the steering gear or suspension. And it is likely that the resulting backlash in the ball joint was the fault of the deplorable results. But in order to independently change the ball joint, it takes very little time, as well as a place in the garage.
Step 3
Having placed the car on the inspection hole, the nut securing the ball pin to the suspension arm is unscrewed.
Step 4
Then the two mounting bolts of the support itself are unscrewed. Then, with the help of a puller, the ball joint is squeezed out of its place of articulation with the lever.
Step 5
Using a pry bar, the lever is pushed down and the worn out support is conveniently removed.
Step 6
The finger of the new part is lubricated with a small amount of grease, preferably fatty and refractory, and a new boot is put on the hinge, neatly crushed to the lower edge of the seat machined in the ball joint housing.
Step 7
All further assembly steps are performed in reverse order.
