If the muffler begins to rattle and beat against the car body, then its mountings are damaged. To avoid unnecessary vibration, drive the machine onto a pit or lift and diagnose the muffler. In the event that the fasteners have collapsed, remove the muffler, weld them again and reinstall them on the car. If the incident happened on the road, wrap the muffler with wire.

Instructions
Step 1
When detaching the muffler from the mount, continue driving the car with extreme caution so that its elements do not damage the car body during vibration. Drive the car into a hole and determine which parts of the muffler have collapsed. Weld them in and put them back in place. At the same time, keep in mind that the muffler is mounted on special rubber suspensions, which it is advisable to replace, because with increased vibration, they can break. If the fasteners are intact, tighten the bolts on which the muffler is attached.
Step 2
If the muffler is completely destroyed, remove it by unscrewing the fasteners. Be careful not to damage the parts that are around it. If the nuts are stuck so that they cannot be unscrewed with a wrench, gently shake the pipe from side to side, if this does not help, cut off the bolts.
Step 3
When installing, be sure to use new rubber hangers, gaskets and clamps, as well as mounting bolts and nuts. When tightening the clamps, check the force so that the muffler pipe is not deformed. When assembling the muffler, use a special sealant on the joints, which does not fit all the gaskets. This will ensure quiet operation of the engines and will prevent exhaust gas leakage.
Step 4
At the same time, be careful, if the sealant gets into the inside of the exhaust pipe and onto the lambda probe, it will definitely disable it. After installation, make sure that all parts of the muffler are installed strictly horizontally, without distortions, otherwise the tightness cannot be achieved.
Step 5
In case the muffler comes off on the road, far from settlements, carry a piece of soft steel wire with you, a length of 1 m will be sufficient. Fix the muffler in place of the torn attachment with a wire. This will not eliminate vibration, but will prevent further damage to the muffler. As soon as the opportunity arises, immediately head to the repair.
