A subwoofer in a car is needed in order to reproduce low frequencies. Thanks to it, the sound becomes better. Also, a subwoofer is necessary for multimedia systems, which without it would be simply uninteresting.
Instructions
Step 1
First, decide where to install your subwoofer. Sedan cars are one of the most difficult to install and secure this device. If you just put it in the trunk or fasten it to the side wall, then only the lowest frequencies will enter the cabin, which will mainly appear due to the vibration of the body.
Step 2
The best option would be to install the subwoofer in the rear shelf of the car. To do this, completely isolate the luggage compartment from the passenger compartment. Close all slots that lead to the inside of the machine. Then purchase chipboard or plywood to stiffen the back shelf. This measure is necessary so that the speaker does not shake when it is used at high volume.
Step 3
Mount the subwoofer in a shelf and install a low-pass filter tuned to 25-30 Hz to prevent speaker damage if a range is played below its resonant frequency. Also remember that the nature of the bass sound will directly depend on how full the trunk is.
Step 4
For a hatchback body, it is not difficult to fix the subwoofer. There are minimal obstacles between the trunk and the passenger compartment, so simply secure it by pointing the speaker towards the trunk. However, there are unpleasant moments here, for example, loud bass appears only when the door is open. To fix this, try increasing the volume of the head body. If this is not possible, select a smaller speaker. Remember that small sized subwoofers often sound much more melodic than their larger counterparts.
Step 5
After installing and securing the subwoofer, be sure to check its performance at different modes and volumes. Remember that high-quality music in your car is a guarantee of a good mood and positive.
