Step 1
Take a look at the driver's training level first. In what categories is he allowed to drive a vehicle? The more modes of transport have been mastered, the higher the class can be. In particular, those drivers who have completed training and received a license in one of the categories: "B", "C" or "D" can apply for the third class. That is, as a rule, the third class is assigned to all drivers who have experience driving cars, trucks or buses.
Step 2
Specify additional categories for which the person was trained. The driver of the second class must have in the license permitting marks "C" and "B", "C" and "D" or only "D" ("D", "E"). To qualify for the title of a first-class driver, you need to be able to handle any type of vehicle: cars, trucks, including trailers, and buses.

Check the seniority at the place of work. According to the existing regulations, the 2nd class can be assigned after having spent 3 years as a basic driver. The next category is possible only with a continuous two-year experience with the same class. As a rule, we are not talking about all the experience of a person's work, but about the service life in this particular enterprise. Grade-specific wage premiums are anchors that tie the worker to an existing job.
Step 4
Monitor the implementation of labor discipline. Among the standard requirements for the assignment of a particular qualification are the fulfillment of plans, transportation schedules and timetables. The absence of excessive consumption of fuel in excess of the established norms is taken into account. Of course, it is impossible to assign high classes if there were traffic violations that led to an accident.
Step 5
Prepare enterprise documents setting out the rules for awarding grades. Each employer must adopt its own local acts regulating this area. This, as a rule, is the provision on the assignment of class and, accordingly, on the calculation of the allowance. A qualification commission should be created and the conditions for its work should be provided.
